Be a part of the Data Center and AI Group Business Innovation Office as we build new USD 1B+ businesses for Intel. Our organization combines the agility of startups with the resources and partnerships of a global enterprise to move quickly in strategic sectors with novel products, services, and business models. We are currently incubating a business around a new paradigm for protecting data privacy and confidentiality while maintaining the ability to gain insights from data.
We are seeking a security and cryptology expert to join our group's CTO office, to build and execute Intel's technology and product roadmap for privacy-enhanced computing and analytics, with a focus on cryptographic methods such as homomorphic encryption and multiparty computation, across Intel's entire portfolio, including CPU, accelerators, and storage.
In the role of Principal Engineer and Senior Cryptographer within the CTO Office, you responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Advise and assist the CTO on the definition of technical strategies for the creation and development of advanced privacy enhancing technologies.
- Provide technical and advisory support to other team member.
- Provide and communicate a long-term vision for privacy enhancing technologies inside and outside the company. Build global mindshare for Intel around privacy and AI.
- Define clear strategies to clear business and technology milestones.
- Identify and anticipate key trends and inflection points in AI, privacy technologies and regulations, standards, post-quantum cryptography, and cloud computing. Develop and execute defensible strategies around critical IP, including hardware and software.
- Participate in major industry and academic conferences, voting membership in international standards committees, generation of patents and technical papers.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics or related field with a focus on theory and applications of cryptography
6+ years of experience on the construction of cryptosystems and protocols base on lattice constructions, lattice based cryptography applications and cryptanalysis
5+ years of experience in software/hardware co-design and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in mitigation of attacks to lattice based cryptosystems
Experience with other postquantum cryptography families eg hash based signatures code based isogeny or multivariate quadratic cryptography
Experience with deployment strategies of privacy enhancing technologies
Prolific record of publications on cryptography in a peer reviewed conference/journal
