Job Description

Are you passionate about leveraging large volumes of data sets to draw deep insights that inform business strategies, customer experience with marketing programs? If yes then IDEAs (Insights Data Engineering and Analytics) group is looking for qualified candidates to work with us with us to leverage the power of data, the skill of analysis, the science of learning to empower our stakeholders with insights on growth levers.  

Our team provides data and analytics for Microsoft 365 and is accountable for end to end reporting and data assets utilized for leadership review.  

Responsibilities

  • Inform SMB strategy through deep insights, cross team collaboration with data engineering and data science and strong storytelling
  • Solve complex cross organizational data problems, enabling a seamless SMB customer experience
  • Develop strong collaborative and consultative partnerships with data customers and data partners
  • Define, generate, and monitor KPI metrics for Modern Workplace SMB
  • Automate reporting and provide exploration capability for reporting customers
  • Present insights and learnings to key stakeholders / executives, drive accountability for action and impact
  • Provide thought leadership on modern workplace strategy and investment based on the insights / learning from analyses

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience delivering strategic insights, influencing strategy and driving business results through data
  • 4+ years of experience in analyzing large volumes of data, extracting insights and processing large data sets using SQL or SQL-like scripting language
  • 4+ years of experience in report automation and data visualization eg. with Power BI
  • Strong skills in statistics/machine learning languages and packages such as Python, R, Azure ML
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts, solid experience in presenting findings to an executive audience
  • Attention to detail with self-discipline, a drive for solving tough problems and appropriate expectation setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries
  • Strong track record for achieving results; must be able to reference wins and quantify impact

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
