YOUR MISSION: 

As a (Senior) Data Engineer in our central CDAO Data & Analytics team, you will support our journey towards a data-driven organization.

Your tasks include:

·         Conception, development, and maintenance of data and ETL pipelines

·         Cleaning and preparation of data sources (e.g., raw data, unstructured data)

·         Technical conception and development of database structures and models as a basis for the reporting team and in support of advanced analytics projects

·         Development and maintenance of processes to ensure high data quality and stable data flows, including incident management

·         Conception and development of technical (automation) solutions

·         Documentation of data sources and flows for internal purposes, service providers and users

·         Close alignment with data domain / sources owners as well as IT and other stakeholders

·         Support or lead of cross-functional, national and international data projects & use cases

Skills:

·         Successfully completed studies in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification

·         Relevant professional experience in the BI / data engineering environment and the implementation of BI projects

·         Experience with relational databases and cloud technologies (especially GCP)

·         Hands-on experience in one or more programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, BigQuery)

·         Ideally experience with the Microsoft technology stack (Power BI, Power Platform, Sharepoint, etc.)

·         Knowledge of scheduling solutions (Apache Airflow), container applications (Docker, Kubernetes) or git CI/CD are a plus

·         Experience in agile project management (Scrum, Kanban)

·         High degree of customer focus, independence, motivation and general hands-on mentality

·         Excellent English communication skills (main team language is English, German skills are a plus)

·         Enjoy driving forward own ideas, learning continuously, and sharing knowledge
