We are getting ready to launch and scale a stealth travel tech startup that uses machine learning to power personalised discovery, planning and booking of experiences and activities. Financially backed by one of the largest global travel brands, this venture is well-positioned to disrupt the $250 Billion APAC travel experiences industry. The company is currently in pre-launch and is expected to enter the market early-2020. 

 

We're looking for motivated senior data scientists to join our journey. As one of our first engineering hires, you will be responsible for using your technical expertise to help shape the product from an early stage and implement core features of the platform.

 

This is an opportunity to work in a team with other senior engineers, designers, and product managers who deliver high-quality software.

We are looking for data scientists who love to work as an integrated part of the engineering team, who are interested in not only developing models but also writing production-ready code to make use of the models and algorithms they develop.

Required experience:

• We're currently using Python and deploying to AWS Sagemaker, but if you have the following experience, we think you'd be a great fit:
• 5+ years of commercial experience in industry as a Data Scientist
• Strong and solid analytics foundations such as probability, statistics, ML/DL algorithms and data visualization
• High level of proficiency in Python and able to produce production-ready code
• Commercial experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), and/or Recommendation systems
• Trackable record of building successful ML/AI based products
• Knowledge of database and SQL
• Knowledge in one of the cloud services (AWS, GCP and Azure) 
• Strong communication skills to make complex ML/AI concepts understandable to different streams in the team

Preferred experience:

• Masters Degree or above with research experience in ML/AI
• Deep knowledge in Deep learning tools and platforms
• Deep knowledge in Graph database
• Good understanding of Agile methodology in software development
