Senior DevOps Engineer - Machine Translation Team

As part of our team, you will have a significant impact in transforming cutting-edge research and Big Data technologies into real products. Your ability to learn and understand the challenges of building products from the ground level-up will be put to the test while ensuring quality for the implementation of high-level, high-visibility applications using the latest, bleeding-edge technology.

 

What you’ll be doing:

·         Build and operate one of world's largest machine learning infrastructures

·         Work closely with science, development and product teams throughout the dev lifecycle and
deployment process, to ensure high-quality releases and successful outcomes

·         Responsible for application deployments, monitoring, and overall service availability

·         AWS: management of EC2, S3, and related technologies

·         Configuration and management of: DC/OS (Mesos/Marathon), Elasticsearch, Kafka, Hbase, Docker containers, Java services

·         Participate in on-call support for internal and customer-facing applications

·         Release management using Jenkins, Nexus and local Yum package repositories

·         Config management and orchestration using Ansible

·         Log management and analytics with the ELK stack

 

 

What we’re looking for:

·         Capable to independently investigate, and solve complex software issues with minimal supervision

·         Strong team player with excellent communication, documentation and problem-solving skills

·         5+ years of relevant experience in similar roles

·         Senior-level experience with Linux system administration, including networking, performance tuning,
troubleshooting and internals

·         Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and Docker represent a major advantage

·         Experience working in an Agile environment

·         BS degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
