The Opportunity:
In this Permanent role as a Senior Developer, you will be analysing requirements, designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing data capabilities.
You will report to the Scrum Team lead – Data & Analytics as a member of the Technology team to deliver quality Technology for AIAA.
To do this successfully you will:
- Create and/or contribute to Technical Design on assigned small to medium sized project.
- Design, code, unit test, build and deploy data components through the approved release process.
- Work collaboratively with the AIA Development Teams (local and offshore) and vendors to deliver required enterprise data solution on assigned small to medium sized projects.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge for the effective performance of the role
- Ability to showcase the technical development work in business terms.
- Participate team’s technical workshop, team meeting and contribute
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Application development experience with all the following or equivalent tools.
- IBM InfoSphere 11 Suite – DataStage, IBM CDC
- IBM Data Manager 10.2.1 (not mandatory)
- SQL (SQL Server, DB2 or MySQL)
- Scripting (Bash, Python)
- Azure Cloud Suite (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks)
- Cognos / Tableau (not mandatory)
- Experience working in Agile projects
- Proficiency in Jira and confluence for task tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work in fast paced iterative environment.
- Experience with data warehouse modelling.
- Experience of working in data integration projects
- IT Qualification (Diploma or Degree)
- Experience of working in data integration projects
