The Opportunity:

As the Senior Developer Java/full stack you will be involved in the analysis, design, development and the enhancement of software products services across our Claims business.  In this senior role you will report into the Scrum Team Lead and have responsibility for the build quality and the project deliverables.

To do this successfully you will:

• Create technical design across a catalogue of Claims projects
• Design code, unit test and build and deploy complex software components
• Take a senior role in defining the technical solutions through insight and requirements gathering
• Partner with development and testing teams to deliver software solutions
• Conduct ongoing code review and prepare relevant quality documentation
• Provide support to the technical lead with solution design

Successful applications will demonstrate:

• Strong experience in java programming with the ability to do code level design
• Proven experience in working in an Agile environment
• Proven experience in the use of Java related tech, such as;
  • JAVA 8 / JEE
  • Spring boot 3.x, Spring MVC, JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data
  • Webservice experience using JAX-WS and RESTful web services.
  • UI experience with Javascript, AngularJS 1.5+
  • Build Tools – Maven, Gradle
  • IDEs –IntelliJ/Eclipse
  • Source code repositories - GIT, Bitbucket
  • JIRA/Rally and other tracking tools.
  • Experience with Databases such as DB2/Oracle
  • CI and CD Experience with Jenkins/Hudson
