YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Director Digital Marketing Advanced Analytics, are to: 

 

  • Lead the Digital Marketing Analytics team with Data Science and Advanced Analytics;
  • Develop, maintain and refresh applicable frameworks, methodologies, and processes for the tactical optimization of commercial campaigns within relevant digital channels as email, web, search, banner, and social media;
  • Document respectively in reference document;
  • Develop, maintain, and refresh applicable frameworks, methodologies, and process for precision audience targeting, bidding optimization, and content/message optimization within relevant digital channels as email, web, search, banner, and social media;
  • Set measurement and key performance indicators for digital and related cross-channel spend and ROI optimization in liaison with brand and digital leadership;
  • Design experiments to evaluate channel, message, or sequence of digital tactics and generate insights and recommendations related to customer engagement on digital channels;
  • Identify standards and rules pertaining to acquisition and use of relevant data;
  • Align with IT, Data Acquisition, and Data Governance functions accordingly;
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders as recognized expert in pharma digital analytics;
  • Determine current trends and new technologies for use at Bayer;
  • Provide thought leadership to the Digital Strategy and Operations team on opportunities for optimization and step changes in effectiveness and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Operations Research or Computer Science;
  • At least 10 years of applicable full-time work experience with at least four years in digital marketing analytics and optimization;
  • Strong experience and knowledge of advanced Statistical models and methods, and Statistical Design of Experiments;
  • Experience measuring, mining, and generating insights from digital customer engagement data within all digital channels, including website, paid media, social media, and email campaign data sets;
  • Experience creating a single view of the customer across all digital customer engagement channels and impression history;
  • An optimization mindset and expertise in within channel digital media optimization as precision audience targeting models, paid search keyword and bidding optimization, banner ad placement and bidding optimization, social media audience and bidding optimization;
  • Expertise in multivariate content/messaging testing and optimization;
  • Expertise in mixed media modeling and digital attribution models;
  • Familiarity with leading marketing technology, advanced analytics, and visualization platforms, such as Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Tableau, Qlik;
  • Expertise with at least one statistical analysis platform such as SAS, R, or Python;
  • Client focused and responsive;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations;
  • Willingness to "have an opinion" backed up by insight and analytics and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis;
  • Strategic business acumen, focus on results, passion for keeping up with media and technology trends;
  • Highly collaborative work style;
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams to impact decision-making;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Proven track record of professional success in analytics role.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Expertise in Machine Learning/AI methods/models;
  • Experience in U.S. Pharmaceutical industry.
