Description:
The IT Infrastructure and Information Security organization resides within Intel's Chief Technology Office. We deliver critical infrastructure, high performance computing capability and the information security capabilities for Intel. We are seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead our Infrastructure Service organization.

Job Responsibilities

Ensuring operational performance and service levels are met or exceeded across entire IT infrastructure including:
o All Intel datacenters companywide (manufacturing, enterprise and design)
o All Intel IT construction activities (new construction, lab and office build outs, etc)
o Enterprise hosting capabilities including private and public cloud operations
o Intel IT Lab Computing capabilities including IT infrastructure and lab security across all Intel labs
Leading a global IT infrastructure organization including ensuring customer engagements are met locally and at the enterprise, employees have what they need to be successful in an Agile environment, and risks are understood and managed to ensure operational stability
Strong partnership with Network, Information Security, High Performance Compute, Manufacturing and application teams across Intel to ensure infrastructure needs are met
Ownership and evolution of Intel IT's cloud strategy working closely with CTO office and application teams to ensure private and public cloud capabilities meet cost, capabilities and controls needs
Management of a globally distributed team of 150+ employees


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10-plus years of experience in the following areas:
o IT Infrastructure and Operations, with leadership responsibilities in large, cross-functional teams, effectively influencing senior-level management/key stakeholders within complex contexts.
o Experience managing IT infrastructure hosting, including on-premises and 3rd party hosted data center and cloud.
o Demonstrated successful management of senior technical professionals with emphasis in the career development of technical and professional employees.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience partnering with Business Units partners in implementing cloud-native applications and delivery pipelines
Proven knowledge in the following domains - Cloud computing, enterprise datacenter infrastructure, Virtualization, containerization technologies/Kubernetes, database design, data warehousing, ETL/data ops, storage, networking, and security.
Experience on Virtualization platforms (VMWare, KVM and/or Hyper-V), Container/Micro-services and/or Cloud Storage solutions.
Five plus years of experience managing large AWS environments with certifications in core AWS stack components and management
Systems set-up, configuration and implementation in Intel labs, customer labs, or in a public cloud infrastructure.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively present in front of a large audience

Inside this Business Group

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role
