Based at Hebburn near Newcastle the successful candidate will be in a Senior Document Control role with the responsibility for helping upgrade existing infrastructure using Siemens latest portfolio of protection and control to ensure future sustainability for T&D network. Siemens Digital Grid have recently secured a position on the National Grid 5 Year Light Current Framework, resiliently providing robust systems with the latest Siemens technology on new National Grid substations and extending the existing infrastructure. A safer and lower carbon project delivery footprint will be adopted. Siemens latest portfolio of protection and control devices ensure future sustainability for T&D network, modernising digital initiatives including process bus, digital twin, and cyber security for the future. You will successfully deliver document control support; Transmission & Distribution protection and control systems with our end-customers from various domains & disciplines. You will provide pre-sales support to our sales and proposal teams and support the project manager and commercial team to deliver projects on target and within scope. Read on As our Senior Document controller, you will: - Ensure compliance with Siemens & customer technical specifications on allocated projects - Produce design packages in line with engineering specification/requirements -Effective management of customer documentation throughout life cycle of projects We are looking for super minds, not superheroes. Experience of National Grid delivery and specifications / standards are important. Experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry. We encourage mobile working policy where appropriate, it is advantageous but not vital for the role to be predominantly based in Hebburn. Some travel to customer sites will be required from time to time. Whilst this role has no requirement for line management, it would be expected to provide mentoring of other team members. It would be an advantage but not crucial to have experience in: - A formal CAD qualification - Experience using a Document management system - Knowledge of National Grid procedures We’ve got quite a lot to offer.
