Pullman, the Upscale International brand for Accor, offers Lounge guests a new attitude for cosmopolitan business and leisure travellers visiting the Qantas International & Domestic Lounges.
Reporting to the Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day success of the International & Domestic Lounge operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing a team to deliver our guests the highest levels of luxury service in a fast-paced environment.
Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Implementing service standards and training programs for all employees and conducting inductions and skills training as required.
- Lead and supervise a team of Duty Managers, conduct performance reviews for probationary and annual reviews, correct performance issues and council where required
- Familiarising yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their expectations are exceeded.
- Managing daily staffing requirements in line with business demands, within budget guidelines and following the relevant award requirements.
- Establishing a strong working relationship with the Executive Chef and kitchen team.
- Having the necessary skills and training to actively resolve any challenges presented by passengers – the ability to turn any negative into a positive.
- Ensuring a safe working environment at all times, including completing incident reports, conducting workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Generating monthly reports, ordering of beverages and completing stocktake using Microsoft Office/Excel.
Skills & Experience;
- Similar or previous experience as a Senior Duty Manager
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on guest and team member engagement
- Proven experience in leading a successful team
- Ability to liaise closely with the stakeholders in the lounge
- Able to think outside the box to ensure continuous improvement
