Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions Division is seeking a Senior EHS Analyst for its Marina Power & Lighting operation in Williamsburg, VA. Position Summary This position is responsible for leading the sites Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) efforts. In this role you will be accountable for EHS activities including achievement of EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance, communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and ensuring documents are organized and readily available. This position also supports site ISO/OHSAS certifications, assures accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics, closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis, completion of required training for site personnel, supporting actions during crises, driving incident/injury management including root causes and corrective actions, site security, and supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Essential Functions Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Facilitate risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Responsible for tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance. Supports creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results. Supports MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Promotes zero incident EHS culture and zero-waste-to-landfill objectives throughout site. Supports EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year. Works with site leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations. Supports efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class. Provides support on using established EHS data systems such as MESH PRISM to manage data. Create and maintain training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion. Supports efforts to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in environmental, health and safety program management and/or employee EHS training. Minimum of one (1) year of EHS experience in a manufacturing or operations environment. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or any other environmental health and safety discipline Experience with electrical safety hazards and programs Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA & DOT federal, state, and local regulations Position Criteria: Ability to lead and support cross functional EHS teams. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
