BSI Consulting Services is seeking an EHS Consultant with prior environmental consulting and business development experience. Expectations include a passion to grow a business, manage and mentor staff, and provide exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate would have established relationships with clients in the Southern Region.

You will leverage BSI’s existing relationships and resources, successfully sell, and consult on a range of EHS projects. This is an opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career with a global EHS leader, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing BSI's global strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Meet new clients and develop long-lasting relationships.
  • Perform seller role, Attend conferences, Make contact with potential clients through calls, texts, emails, and in person meetings.
  • Generate PAO opportunities.
  • Develop draft PAOs for SME review. Develop cost estimates and proposals.
  • Strong business development acumen, established client network, and proven growth within an existing client portfolio
  • Manage projects and internal and external customers.
  • Oversee environmental permitting projects (e.g. water, waste, EPCRA, etc.)
  • Development and implementation of written environmental programs.
  • Mentor growth of staff and regional practice.
  • Perform field visits, audits, and site assessments
  • Support technical environmental training.

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

  • Confident to network in the field and identify opportunities for BSI on client sites
  • Interest in and passion for environmental services -eager to learn, likes to be challenged, and open to expanding skill set
  • Independent worker with willingness to jump in and take on new assignments and to be innovative
  • Outgoing, energetic, friendly, hard-working, and industrious that can build effective working relationships with teams of consultant and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, personnel, and clients simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline driven
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business writing and presentation ability
  • Strong command of the application of science and math in consulting, with ability to independently use common technology resources including MS Office Suite

Experience/Education

  • Undergraduate degree as a Chemical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Geology or equivalent
  • Masters Degree, Professional Engineering Certification, or Professional Geologist Certification is a plus
  • 7 + years of related experience
  • Prior sales experience
  • Prior environmental consulting and project management experience required
  • Consultative selling experience required and must be demonstrated
  • Air, Water, Wastes, EPCRA, ESA, and Training experience preferred
