We are looking for a new Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our production site based in Roskilde, Denmark.
 

As our new Senior EHS Manager, you will be overall responsible for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), internal and external environment, as well as safety for gamma irradiation facility as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). You will chair the Occupational organisation with OSH representatives.

Reporting to the Site Manager and part of Site Leadership team, this key leadership role will be accountable for driving safety and health culture, where all employees owns safety and working environment. You will also be working in a matrix organization, reporting into the Global EHS director in relation to EHS activities. 

In addition, you will be appointed RSO approved by “Statens institute for strålebeskyttelse” (SIS), with special responsibilities and training required

You will be the contact person for authorities as “Arbejdstilsynet” (AT), “Statens institute for strålebeskyttelse” (SIS), local community etc.

• Chair OSH organization, following up on OSH group activities and improvements

• Manage and report on working accidents and health issues to authorities and internally with Thermo Fisher Scientific

• Manage EHS programs, Goal tree and KPI’s

• Secure that “Arbejdspladsvurdering” (APV) are done in due time and actions implemented. That includes physical working environment.

• Train and coach employees working with OSH

• Support projects with knowledge around OSH
 

• RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) for gamma irradiation facility, including management of safety requirements, technical requirements, and replenishment of new cobalt sources

• Train and coach employees working with gamma irradiation facility

• Manage and report on internal and external environment to authorities and internally in Thermo Fisher Scientific

• Partner with site leadership team to foster ownership and buy in on EHS

• Secure all instructions are updated in relation to both EHS and RSO

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
 

• Demonstrated experience working with authorities

• Experience being responsible for OSH

• Training in relation to RSO responsibility will be provided, so it is not a requirement to have experience with this

• Profound knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health, including charring an OSH organization

• Knowledge of external environment management and reporting

• Analytic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to set direction, influence and get commitment and alignment with senior management and stakeholders throughout the organization

• Strong leadership, communication and change management skills
