Eaton Mission Systems Division is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer based at our Davenport, Iowa facility. Relocation assistance is available! Sponsorship is not available! In this function you will: Conceptualize, design, test, and document aircraft software &/or Hardware and control systems. Defines, designs and develops electrical/electronic system requirements. Selects commercial and off the shelf components. Interfaces with procurement and vendors to develop custom components. Provide analysis to support software changes or approvals. Conducts independent technical investigations in software/hardware design. Work on integrated product development teams to optimize designs and verify electronic/electrical system performance. Support electrical portion of fuel systems proposals, development, and troubleshooting. With supervision, manages product and design engineering projects. Designs and develops new products, related software, production tests, test equipment and redesigns existing products. Writes technical qualifications for product tests and manuals. Develop and provide technical leadership for embedded software development in high reliability applications. Specify and document software requirements, design, and validation/verification procedures. Provides engineering assistance to production, services, and repair personnel. Tests and makes recommendations on appropriate and necessary materials. Coordinates and conducts testing. Uses computer to accomplish responsibilities. Assist with assembly of prototype products. May supervise/coordinate day-to-day operations of engineering technicians and designers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Experience with analog/digital electronic design and software development. Experience in electronic circuit analysis and testing. Experience with DO178B, DO254 or similar. Experience with embedded microprocessor design and peripheral interfacing with analog inputs. Experience with microprocessor software/firmware development in a structured environment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
