We are inviting suitably qualified candidates for the following position in our Power Tools Measuring Tools Division - responsible for the development of fascinating product solutions for DIY and professional users across the globe.

• Work in a cross-functional international team to develop consumer products for mass market introduction in Europe, North America and Asia
• Take full responsibility for the electronics development (concept, schematics, layout, testing) as well as maintenance of our DIY measuring tools, with a major focus on levelling tools
• Take part in design thinking and iterative product design (e.g. rapid prototyping, user testing, etc.) to derive new product concepts for measuring tools
• Contribute to driving innovation from the first idea to actual implementation in production
• Evaluate user needs and wishes together with marketing and transfer them into technical concepts and requirements
• Provide solutions for engineering problems and take initiatives to lead and plan problem solving activities with common tools used across ODMs and OEMs.
• Create and maintain engineering documents required for project planning and product development gate approval review
• Technical support in frame of the entire product development process and during serial production including verification and qualification of designed components
• Conduct prototyping focused on electronics & software
• Be an electronics engineering representative, together with other team members, responsible for all elements of Time To Market (TTM), progress, competitive costs and quality in projects
• Support compliance & certification activities

• University degree in Electronic Engineering or Applied Sciences
• Very good communication skills with fluency in English
• Min. 3 to 5 years experience in electronics design
• Experience in international project teams and interest in working in a flexible and agile environment
• Experience in using CAE systems, preferably Altium Designer
• Profound knowledge in digital and analogue circuit design
• Basic knowledge in programming (e.g. microcontrollers, Matlab)
• Motivated personality with a high willingness to learn and drive innovation – Track record in successfully developing and applying new technologies in product design. Able to generate new concepts and develop prototypes for concept proof and selection
• Analytical – Track record in solving tough technical problems. Knowledge in analysis tool such as FEM, MATLAB, FMEA and tolerance stack-up, etc.
• Structured and independent working style with the flexibility to work on several projects at the same time
• Frequent travel to manufacturing facility in Guangdong area and occasional international travel to Europe required
• With less experience will be considered as Electronic Engineer
