Job Description

This position is responsible for material identification for the polymer parts, grease, rubber and organic material. Based on the chemical structure, the candidate will handle the chemical process and the morphology of the failed part and prepare the failure analysis, if any.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the chemical analysis and to identify the material type of the unknown substance found as a quality issue. Prepare material analysis for the benchmarking.
• Manage failure analysis in which to identify the application, structure and morphology of failed parts, also to prepare the failure analysis for finding the failure root cause as such feasible improvement can be provided
• Handle equipment management, e.g. to keep the commonly used test tools in good condition, like Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
• Prepare general analysis report and communicate with Business Unit for trouble shooting

Academic & Personal Qualification

• Master degree or above with major in Materials or Chemical Engineering
• 3 years' working experience in chemical analysis
• Familiar with Restriction of Hazardous Substances (ROHS) regulations and related test methods
• Laboratory experiences is preferred
• Good commend of reading & written English
