Objectives

• 
  To coordinate site civil activities in execution of projects and routine maintenance to ensure that E&M objecectives are achieved safely and effectively.

Main Tasks

• 
  This role will be responsible for civil management in both maintenance and project.
• 
  Review designs on civil part to ensure that they meet regulatory requirements and BASF standards;
• 
  Lead constructability review of civil discipline and optimize construction plan in aspect of safety, project planning, cost, quality and schedule etc.
• 
  Work with construction manager to review availability of resources and construction permit requirement etc.
• 
  Control construction schedule of civil discipline within defined schedule;
• 
  Conduct technical assessment and issue the work permit when there is excavation job;
• 
  Review and approve all civil related work plan, including extensive blueprints and plans of construction projects;
• 
  Responsible for writing detailed requirement on civil for project biding;
• 
  Submit weekly/monthly construction progress report.
• 
  Field supervision on safety and quality during execution
• 
  Project documentation of civil
• 
  Coordinate with design institute to approve design change on behalf of Project manager when necessary.
• 
  Actively involvement of civil contractor management which include resource planning, civil construction quality control, schedule control, EHS target setting, quality of work review.
• 
  Maintain safe working conditions in conjunction with cnstruction,production, and the construction contractor;
• 
  Set-up and maintain project&plant change files on civil ensure they are propperly archived;
• 
  Support maintenance engineers on quality control on civils, insulations, painting jobs;
• 
  Lead trouble shooting and roo-cause analysis on plant corrosion issues;

Requirements

• 
  Education: must possess degrees and certifications in engineering
• 
  Working Experience: 6+ working experience in petrochemical plant or Engineering construction company as a civil engineer;
• 
  Technical & Professional Knowledge:
• 
  Be familiar with engineering standards, codes and national engineering regulation.
• 
  With the ability to solve problems
• 
  Well-organized and able to multitask
• 
  Civil engineers work with precise calculations and scientific studies daily, which requires a strong grasp of mathematics
• 
  Good command in English communication, command of computer;
• 
  Very Good team work ability and communication capability.
