Eaton Corporation, a diversified manufacturing company, located at Haina, Dominican Republic, has a job opening for a Senior Engineer Continuous Improvement (2nd Shif), to become part of the OPEX team. The role has the following responsibilities: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide support and develop overall activities to the MCB Haina facility, on Six Sigma, Lean, ProLaunch activities). Implement assigned tasks and activities from projects assigned to improve process, products and components.in order to positively impact plant’s indicators (PPM, Warranty Claims, Fill Rate, On-Time Performance, Yield, and Scrap). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible to provide support to work’s team in the deployment of Continuous Improvement Framework and Eaton Lean Six Sigma programs. Implement and support Six Sigma, Lean and ProLaunch projects at Haina Plant. Provide support to the assigned cost out and process improvement projects in order to improve plant’s indicators. (High 5) Support and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions related to opportunities for improvement identified during internal assessments or monthly performance operations review. Execute tasks and become a SME in the use of EBS tools. Lean, Six Sigma, ProLaunch, etc. Execute overall activities related to and the capital Spending/Appropriation request for projects. Participate actively with Departmental Teams at RWDD, projects / assignments Lead continuous improvement projects that impact Haina productivity & efficiency. (Overall capacity analysis and Man load) 2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with MESH Coordinator. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Close the 80% of actions request for safety in their areas. #LI-SL4 Qualifications SENIOR ENGINEER CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical, electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science. Preferable Master degree in Quality, engineering, administration or other science. Minimum experience of 3-5 years in similar or related positions. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) Preferable: Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Project Management Knowledge Preferable: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE certification) PC knowledge: Minitab, Microsoft Office, MS Project, MS Vision, Access Auto Cad, Competencies: Gets Results, Builds organizational capabilities, Decision making / Solve Problems, Digital Mindset, Pro-active, Eaton Leadership Attributes. ENGINEER CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical, electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science. Minimum experience of 1 year in similar or related positions.
