This exciting role offers opportunity to: Job Summary The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and execute cost out projects for PDCA Division. The candidate will have to Utilize manufacturing knowledge and Technical knowledge to uncover new cost out opportunities. The product line involves Low Voltage & Medium Voltage switchgears & Motor Control Center. It's also expected to build the costout portfolio and get the business alignment. Candidate is expected to have understanding of various costout methodologies & basic knowledge of Switchgear/ Motor Control Center manufacturing & plant processes. Job Responsibilities Generate and execute new cost out ideas that are technically and commercially viable to reduce overall st of the products. 2.Good Understanding of LV/MV Switchgears & Motor Control Centers domain of Power Distribution Systems. Capable of anticipating and resolving electrical/mechanical performances challenges seen on these products. Understand system requirement, component sizing, BOM. The applicant should have capability to analyses commodity spend data & leverage data analytics & ideation principles to create new opportunities. Effectively utilize Eco-system like Test Lab, Simulation and modelling capabilities to build & mature the costout ideas Work with 3rd party certifications agency to get the product certified. The applicant must have thorough exposure to relevant product standards like UL, IEC, IEEE. Leverage DFSS methodology to identify technical risks at an early stage of development and develop robust product that meets customer requirements and specification Fosters New patents/disclosures while working on VAVE and problem-solving projects Has performed Product Teardown analysis, Design Benchmarking, Competitive Benchmarking, Function analysis, FAST Qualifications Requirement: Education level required Bachelor's degree in engineering Mechanical or Electrical Years and area of experience required 8-10 years of experience in product design in a manufacturing environment Technical knowledge Self-driven & passionate Program management and influencing skills & Presentation skills Demonstrated capability in costout portfolio building Execution drive for costout realizations Knowledge of Electrical distribution products, Electrical Substations Understanding of BOM, spend analysis Experience of leveraging analytics for costout feasibility study, demonstrations, developing proposals Soft skills Influencing Skills, Presentation Skills, Good at communication Yes!
