Job Description / Capsule
The Solution Engineer will work alongside Solution Architect(s) on a specific capability in this instance Data & Analytics accorss; Manufacturing, Quality, Supply chain etc. The role will ensure that the Solution Architect can hand off technical details, implementation and some of the architecture governance related tasks and questions to a Solution Engineer which means Operations IT could leverage Solution Architects for priority projects. The role will provide a platform for interested individuals who are from a BA / Support / Application development background to ease into Solution Architect role at a much early stage in career. The role requires individual to update Solution Blueprints and sometimes draft a brand new Solution Blueprint based on a reference architecture developed by Solution Architect(s).
Typical Accountabilities
Solution Engineer
The role will be accountable to provide solution design support to a Solution Architect in one of the below focused domains of architecture.

- Infrastructure
- Designs architectures based on a reference architecture, update solution blueprints for projects or solutions that address business/application/data/infrastructure requirements.
- Works with Business Analysis and Solution Engineering functions and supports functional & technical requirements management, including driving software selection processes together with Solution Architect.
- Do Proof of Concepts to best make recommendations regarding new technologies, tools and techniques that would provide value & benefit to the business.
- Able to translate technical issues, architecture, and concepts to a non-technical audience like PMs, Bas etc. on a regular basis.
- Support the Build and Run teams during development and BAU phases.
- Present Solution Blueprint(s) to Ops IT Architecture Board and Enterprise Architecture Review Board.
- Work with third party suppliers as required.
- Develop strong knowledge and expertise in at least one architecture domain.
- Contributes to the development of the Architecture Capability within Information Services, by documenting and sharing knowledge and best practices with Ops IT Architecture community.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent
- Proactive in getting all required information from stakeholders to perform the job.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience working in a global organization where stakeholders and project team members are geographically dispersed.
- Experience in developing innovative solutions, updating blueprints.
Desirable
- Demonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working.

- Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
