Senior Engineer – Embedded Software - Aerospace Location: Roztoky – Czech Republic Eaton is looking for a Senior Engineer - Embedded Software - Aerospace with a focus on dependable applications in the Aerospace and potentially in Automotive domains. This position will perform dependable SW design and development for embedded software, firmware & controls in aerospace and automotive applications where dependable functionality is required. In this role, the engineer will be also responsible for managing tools for SW specification, design, integration, testing and verification & validation. Candidate will closely collaborate with global, embedded product development teams from initial conception through each of the design and development phases, up to and including certification with the support of model-based development processes, and utilization of automated testing, verification & validation tools. Your main duties : • Embedded software development of dependable systems including version/change control, build management, documentation and reporting • Perform architecture, design analysis, and modeling to ensure certification compliance of all functional and performance requirements • Collaborate with crossfunctional team members including systems, controls and electronics design engineers to successfully develop and validate designs. • Working with team members and engineering manager to estimate development, resources and timing to achieve the desired results • Collaborating with global, new product development teams from initial conception through each of the design and development phases up to and including certification for various applications in Aerospace or in automotive domain • Interface with stakeholders. Conduct project reviews and make presentations. • Position requires up to 10% travel domestic and international. Qualifications Preferred: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering discipline, or related, from an accredited university. • 3+ years of experience with embedded system applications or relevant engineering disciplines. • Experience with V-model development process with the support of model-based development process and automated tools for analysis, testing, verification & validation. • Experience with Mathworks family tools (Matlab/Simulink). • Advantage is experienced in full software development, verification, and certification, preferably in aerospace, vehicle, or similar domains. • Basics in functional safety • Customer focused with good relationship building and communication skills. • Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products.
