Ø  Supporting Next Gen Capacity Enterprise HDD R&D activities

Ø  HDD level Head/Media Recording Integration & Test code development:

o    Implement standard manufacturing & bench HDD tests

o    Implement new algorithms and optimization based on latest Testcode & FW

o    Understand & modified code structure (DTM, MFGCMD, FW level)

Ø  Failure analysis using bench tester, oscilloscope, and toolkit

Ø  Data analysis / mining / summary skills for code validation & debugging.

Ø  Head/Media recording performance characterization

Ø  Technical feedback to internal R&D teams on a regular basis

Ø  Oversea travel to support H/M evaluation projects world-wide (Thailand/Japan/US) -> Suspended due to Global Pandemic.

Collaborating with JP-US experts on leading edge product/technology development

Ø  Education:

MS or above in EE, CS, ME, Automation, or related engineering fields

Ø  Experience: (optional)

Direct experience in HDD product development, manufacturing, and testing

Good understanding in magnetic recording and head / media integration

Capable of developing special test algorithms to identify root causes of recording system problems

Ø  General Skills:

Good programming skills (C/C++, Matlab, Python, etc.)

Skillful using lab measurement equipment (oscilloscopes)
Skillful using data and statistics analysis tools (JMP, SAS, Macro, R, etc.)
Proficient and thorough in detailed analysis on large data sets

Ø  Communication:

Proficiency in English in reading, writing, and speaking with good communication skills
Clear concise reporting of important key findings and results.

Detail oriented.

Ø  Problem Solving: 
Self-starter and initiator for test improvement and finding problems ability to analyze large data sets, look for pertinent correlations, and summarize key findings basic logical thinking skills.
