Job Description

The position will be responsible for fixture and machinery design, machining processes (e.g. turning, drilling and milling), and fixture assembly for testing of high-powered motorized products.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and build fixture and semi-automatic machine to support motor testing
• Operate machining tools, e.g. turning, drilling and milling of metallic parts and plastic parts to build parts for fixture assembly
• Support Electronics R&D team by studying 3D (Solidworks) drawings and explains the PCBA profile to the PCBA designer
• Propose PCBA mounting method onto motor or into the interior of customer products (e.g. home appliances)
• Prepare 2D drawings of PCB layout, and 2D drawings of electronics components.
• Convert PCB layout files (e.g. DXF, DWG files) into Solidworks file and vice versa
• Support the Electronics R&D team whenever there may be any mechanics related problems happen during the motor testing stage of R&D projects

Academic & Personal Qualification

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 years or above in fixture and machinery design experience, and prototype building experience.
• Work experience in high-powered motorized products is required
• Resourceful in solving mechanical problems
• Hands on experience in Solidworks software and machining tools e.g. drilling, milling, turning etc.
• Able to read and write English for basic engineering communication
• Self-initiative and can work independently
