As a Senior Engineer, QMS - Control System Mfg, within Global Quality at Micron, you will work with the local manufacturing site and other global quality function groups, e.g. the Standards Program Managers, QMO auditors, as well as Site Process Stewards, Process Owners and Process Stewards to deploy, drive and improve quality standards and other activities and procedures within the QMS processes, including QMS projects and initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve as Local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for QMS, QMS Projects, and Quality tools
- Assist with the design and implementation of activities and procedures that are connected to QMS business processes at the site level with guidance from process owner, process stewards and local site leadership. Include site process stewards and/or other key process stakeholders for the process.
- Communicate standards, provide guidance and resolve issues with local QMS stakeholders
- Provide awareness of local issues and proposal to resolve issue with respective QMO teams
- Conduct training as needed (Site Process Steward training, VDA training, Process Risk & Opportunity training)
Support & Deploy QMS Projects and Standards
- Assist in supporting changes determined by the business that impact activities and procedures at sites, including new sites that are connected with the QMS.
- Provide input to site process stewards, process owners and process stewards where there potentially may be risks at the site with delivering the outputs of the process and/or activity.
- Provide support if issues arise with an activity or procedure at the site. Work closely with the site process steward and communicate to process owner and process steward the status of issue resolution. Determine if a change needs to be made in the process, activity or procedure so the issue does not occur again.
- Serve as a local contact along with site process stewards for post-deployment support on activity and procedure changes.
Manage Site QMS Performance to Plan
- Manage and maintain alignment between local practices and global QMS principles
- Monitor and report against local QMS performance indices
- Ensure compliance to standards and escalate issues as appropriate
- Support process owners, process stewards and site process stewards on identifying, developing and implementing effective corrective action/preventive action to address any performance shortfalls, e.g. audit findings, missing system level process metrics.
- Lead the regular site QMS performance analysis and support local efficiency and effectiveness improvements (e.g. gap analysis to assess readiness for the audit)
Champion the Quarterly QMS Management Review meeting
- Support Global Quality team to prepare content relevant to global forums (e.g. content for a GQ Summit or meeting)
- Support local manufacturing teams to prepare content relevant to the manufacturing site
Serve as the local contact to channel the effective communication between GQ and site on QMS
- Communicate any Micron quality standard change and other Micron QMS related changes to sites

Collecting site feedback on QMS related issue to respective global quality owners
Qualifications
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- Previous experience in a Fabrication, Product engineering, Global Quality or another relevant group.
- Knowledge on what a QMS is and exposure to ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949:2016
- The ability to interpret and effectively resolve complex, technical or ambiguous requests and problems.
- Experience coordinating projects and efforts across many different project groups.
- Must have a proven ability to motivate others and motivating a team of people
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people
- Strong communication skills, ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data and provide well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business stakeholders.
- Be self-directed and able to multitask and prioritize projects
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage workloads successfully and provide outstanding customer service
- Respond well to constructive feedback.

Strong PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Education:
BS in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other related technical fields is required.
Experience:
Required: 3 years experience in semiconductor or related technology field and quality.
Desired: 6 years experience in semiconductor or related technology field and quality
