Senior Engineer (Ref. 20081802-E4)

Duties 

The appointee will join the Electronics and Intelligent Automation Stream and be required to: 

(a) undertake hands-on learning and teaching activities at degree and sub-degree levels including student projects;

(b) assist in teaching and learning programme design and administration, as well as preparation of hands-on learning, student projects and teaching materials;

(c) assist in R&D and consultancy activities;

(d) maintain workshop facilities in good operating condition; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director, Industrial Centre or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

(a) a recognised higher degree or degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Mechatronics and Automation Engineering or a related discipline plus not less than five years of solid Engineering and supervisory experience;

(b) good knowledge of the following domains: Robotics, Automation System design and Industrial Internet of Things;

(c) good hands-on experience in system design and implementation;

(d) the ability to work with people from different background to undertake technical development projects; and

(e) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
