Eaton’s EMEA Power Management and Control Division in Vienna has an opening for a Senior Engineer Residential breakers (m/w/d) Join Eaton and help us provide energy-efficient solutions that have a real impact on the environment. As Senior Design Engineer for residential breakers (Miniature Circuit Breakers, Residual Current Breakers, DIN-rail components), you will have a focus on design, documentation and product validation for Product Line Support, Market adaptations and design to cost activities. You will be responsible for the maintenance of line and product enhancements on residual breaker portfolio as part of the EMEA Product Line Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB). You will be situated in the R&D group for product line support and market adaptations for RCDs and related accessories. Your key deliverables: Mechanical Engineering and detailed design including material selection of metal and plastic parts Engineering on assembly / device level for residential breakers and DIN-rail components Preparation of parts lists, assembly drawings, checklists, technical documentation Ordering and preparation of samples and prototypes Leading individual sustaining activities, acting as project lead for same, with focus on the engineering part, providing technical product and platform documentation Maintaining conformity to standards on dedicated products Provision and implementation of product optimizations, e.g., representing manufacturing process improvements and cost-outs Driving (technical) cost saving activities and projects and provide related development activities Technical input to customer documentation Consideration of environmental and ecological aspects during the development process (RoHS, Reach) Carrying out document release, change and deletion process and production releases Application of Design for Six Sigma activities Qualifications Required: Mechanical or Electromechanical education (HTL, FH or similar education) Mechanical and electrotechnical engineering knowledge CAD knowledge (e.g. Creo Modeling or similar) Data management knowledge (Model Manager or similar PDM system, SAP or similar ERP system) Good knowledge of written and spoken English Experience in product design process and related tools Basic understanding of mechanical production processes (metal and plastic part production) Experience in leading design activities and smaller design projects Good analytical and organizational skills Ability to work within an international team and with international counterparts Preferred: Experience with electrotechnical products within power distribution Knowledge and experience within DFSS The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications and professional experience, is from EUR 37,500 gross annually. #LI-SV1 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
