The incumbents will take part in research and development of sensory, AI and robotic technologies for local industries.
Responsibilities:
The appointee will provide support in research & development activities of the Centre and he/she is required to:
- Assist in design & development of novel sensors and actuators as well as system/motion control for robotic applications;
- Assist other R&D activities such as design, analysis, development of software/hardware and system integration etc.; and
- Other ad hoc engineering assignments.
Requirements:
Applicants should have:
- Master/ Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics or related disciplines;
- Knowledge/experience of some of the following areas will be an advantage:
- CAE software (for example MATLAB, Protel, HFSS and OpenCV etc.),
- Robotics and AGVs - electronic system/circuit design,
- Microcontroller programming, optimization and path planning,
- Engineering design of robot grippers, exoskeleton, air muscle and etc,
- DC servomotor control and motion control,
- New sensor/actuator design & implementation,
- Minimum 5 years relevant post-qualification experience;
- Immediate available is definite advantage; and
- Candidate with less experience may consider as Engineer/Assistant Engineer/Research Assistant.
