The primary responsibility of this role is to develop System/Sub-system/Component level Plant/mathematical/analytical models and deploy models for assessing performance of product/systems for various Eaton businesses (Vehicle, Aerospace, e-mobility, and Electrical). Incumbent is expected to: Perform flow, thermal and mechanical modeling and performance analysis of various products in their working environment Partner with global & local teams, understand the design intent, develop and validate analysis models to substantiate the engineering designs Lend technical expertise and engineering recommendations to projects/processes Execute moderately complex engineering assignments independently and by collaborating with cross-functional teams Drive effective internal and external communications for success on projects Lead team/organization level tech and org initiatives and contribute to strategic growth Qualifications Requirement – Master’s degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Applied Mechanics/ Engineering Physics/ Instrumentation/ Controls from reputed institutes Domain knowledge of Mechanical engineering, Flow & Thermal systems, Mechanical systems, Multibody Dynamics and NVH Good knowledge of Plant and controls modeling Strong understanding of DFSS concepts Candidate should have demonstrated the ability to effectively communicate thought process and solve technical queries Working experience with global team Hands-on experience as a technical mentor and reviewer Develops simulation models of thermal/fluid and mechanical systems/sub-systems/components using Matlab Simulink/AMEsim/GT-Suite Analyzes & optimizes designs through plant (mathematical) model and controls development Delivers deep insights through system modeling and simulations for robust product development to meet all performance requirements Provides technical information and engineering recommendations for improvement of product designs and associated processes Ensures on time delivery and quality performance results in all work deliveries Regularly communicates project updates effectively to all internal/ external stakeholders Acts as a flag bearer for “Analysis First” strategy by deploying developed simulation methodologies to design superior products for Eaton Mentors and trains young engineers for effectively driving individual and team level goals Yes!
