Job Responsibility

• Advanced head-media testing development and DOE characterization in early stage: new algorithm development, test condition & flow optimization, data characterization
• In-depth HDD-DET data analysis to provide feedback on head testing and screening
• New product DET testing support: test condition optimization and failure analysis  
• Work with test development team to bring up new test capability and transfer to factories
• Support factories in resolving testing issues and condition optimization

Job Requirement

• MS required / Ph. D. preferred in Electronic, Physics and Material Science or a related field.
• Fluent writing, reading & speaking in English
• Preferred to have following capability: familiar with various use of oscilloscope, novel instrumentation, experimental techniques, statistical data analysis and laboratory programming skills (Visual Basic, Matlab, etc.)
• Preferred to have experience in magnetic/optical performance characterization, knowledge of magnetic recording and test. Have a good understanding of design parameters that affect magnetic performance.
• Self-motivated and self-directed. Strong will to continue learning and enjoy challenge work
• Have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment;
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment are essential.
