We are a trading organization providing execution and other trading services to internal asset management clients, with more than $650B in AUM. Our traders work closely with the investment teams, support, quant research and engineering as we continue to evolve our trading processes, develop our industry-leading trading technology and apply rigorous quantitative and market structure research to ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions across a wide range of products. JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform trade execution duties alongside a team of Buyside Equity Traders who manage order flow across a range of active and passive investment products. Ensure execution of the client orders in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. Contribute to the strategic direction of the firms trading activities. Serve as a resource to senior leadership on trading-related business integration. Contribute to the design and development of trading practices, policies and procedures. Ensure the appropriate risk management policies and procedures are developed and adhered to with regard to all trading activity. Provide input and recommendations for analysis of high-risk issues or problems. Recommend and implement solutions to limit systems, process and workflow issues. Serve as expert on market conditions and activity. Be a leadership resource for client and broker relationships, internal legal and compliance teams that cover trading procedures and operations. Provide feedback, color and support at the most critical times. Work closely with the investment team, trade support and quant research and engineering to evolve our trading practices and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions Collaborate across the organization to improve workflows, reduce operational complexity and automate manual tasks PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with trading equity products is required. Experience with other asset classes is a plus. Prior experience in trading in an asset management firm. Experience in trading index and beta portfolios is highly preferred. Trading in support of ETF products is highly preferable. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to institutional trading and asset management. Experience with OMS and EMS workflows, market data platforms and trading venues. Program trading experience is required. Strong background and aptitude in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. Understanding of time series and cross-sectional analyses, solid grasp of applied probability concepts. Experience with some combination of Python, R and SQL is beneficial. A superb communicator, delivering and absorbing information with precision and efficiency, leaving no ambiguity in communication. Intellectually curious, fast learner and capable of grasping the most complex concepts and workflows. Team-first attitude, with ability and desire to motivate and support others. Qualifications Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-15 years of total work experience with at least 3-5 years in management preferred. Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
