.We have an exciting new role for an experienced Senior Events Specialist reporting into the Head of Communications and Corporate affairs.
You will help plan, execute and deliver on internal and external events for the CEO Office team and wider business at AIA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, organise and deliver events of all sizes for a range of audiences including advisers, distribution partners, employees and the wider community. This includes but is not limited to product roadshows, conferences, speaker series, gala dinners, and hosted sporting events.
- Build effective relationships with other business units to champion both internal and external communications requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver partner programmes required including the analysis of business reporting.
- Be competent in using and creating event planning processes and templates, including run sheets, budgets, event briefs and communication plans.
- Develop any presentations and related materials required by stakeholders for an event.
- Ensure events encourage engagement and supports the organisation’s overall business strategies.
- As the Senior Events Specialist, this role will also provide some mentoring support to the Events Specialist and oversight of the full events calendar.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by your Manager in order to meet other requirements.
About you:
- 5+ years’ experience working in events or a closely related field.
- Financial services / insurance / professional services experience preferred
- Relevant event, communications, marketing or business qualification.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including PowerPoint, Excel and database manipulation.
- Sound communications skills, both written and oral. Able to write clearly and succinctly, in a variety of communication styles and deliver messages that have the desired effect.
- Excellent organisation, project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to interpret broad and complex sources of information and translate into simple and interesting content.
- Work in a challenging environment/industry with the ability to work autonomously and manage elements of ambiguity.
- Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
