Logistics - Planning and Procurement of Production materials Timely planning of materials and make it available at right quantity and time with in Output and Inventory targets Interaction with Overseas and Local suppliers, support departments for making materials available on time. Inventory classification and control. Analyzes current inventories and procedures, suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company. Analyze slow, nonmoving items and come out with salvaging action idea in alignment with R&D and Quality Management. Active participation in implementing engineering changes, product line extension and new product launches and Production ramp up. Monitor delivery performance of suppliers and communication for improvement. Supports in identifying and on boarding of new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Timely reporting issues in supply chain with alternate proposals to mitigate risk in Production stop. Derive forecast by using historical data & inputs from dependent departments. Share 12-18 months rolling forecast with supplier for advance material planning/ capacity planning. Knowledge of Material planning in SAP environment. Brief knowledge about – Import- export procedures. Air/ sea shipments, Inco terms, Freight calculation, Custom clearance procedures. Education: Diploma/ BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering Preferred experience: 2-3 year experience in the area of Material planning and Procurement GRIP level: PL10 We’re Siemens.
