As one of the first corporate real estate companies, we develop market-driven new buildings not only for Siemens, but increasingly also for the external market. As a builder's organization, we are responsible for the projects holistically in terms of costs, deadlines, qualities, organization and safety - from the first feasibility study to handover to the user and beyond to the end of the warranty. Considering the global strategy of Siemens Real Estate, we develop construction standards and strategic recommendations for action in the field of technical building equipment, energy efficiency and sustainability for the global real estate portfolio of Siemens AG and our affiliated companies. This position can be filled in Germany, Austria or Switzerland (or any other European Siemens-Location). The following tasks describe the role of the MEP expert: You represent Siemens Real Estate regarding MEP issues and are the point of contact for internal and external customers and partners. You will implement the global decarbonization program and the sustainability strategy of Siemens AG in both new construction projects and modernization measures in our existing portfolio. You determine the needs of building users independently, purposefully and solution-oriented and translate them into specifications for external planning teams and service providers. In coordination with the project managers, you will prepare ecological, economic and strategic option comparisons for our existing properties, new buildings and developments in the early planning phases, taking into account internal specifications and guidelines. You prepare the results as a decision proposal for management. During the individual planning and implementation phases, you will regularly check compliance with the target agreement for quality as well as cost estimates/calculations based on current market standards. In addition, you will continuously inform the project management about the possible use of future technologies and digital solutions for future-oriented, fossil-free, CO2-neutral building operation and advise on potentials from state energy efficiency funding programs and their application. You will bundle feedback from completed projects as well as your insights from market observations on current technological trends and developments to continuously improve SRE's standards and maximize the performance of our building portfolio. Profile: You have a university degree in utilities, energy or building provider, or a comparable qualification. You have a proven track record in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing – with focus on the mechanical trades - as a client, planner, consultant and/or operator Many years of experience (ideally) in the international project business and profound knowledge of the MEP markets with regard to construction standards, current technologies, as well as global system building providers and have basic knowledge of common sustainability certificates (DGNB, LEED, etc.). You are assertive and can talk at eye level with planning offices and executing companies about the building services concepts of complex industrial and office properties and their implementation in all project phases, without losing sight of the respective project goals. You also have a high level of intercultural competence and sensitivity and convince with your knowledge and great interest in innovative topics that change the digital future. It is also easy for you to summarize complex, technical context in management presentations. Excellent communication and presentation skills complete your profile. Business fluent German and English skills, as well as the confident handling of the common MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, round off your profile. Willingness to travel.
