Choose the best place to work – In alignment with your manager, you are welcome to work remotely (within Germany) up to 60%. This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week. Your tasks and responsibilities: In your role, you will shape and enhance the photon-counting technology for future CT generations You will develop novel methods, models and circuit architectures enabling our X-ray detectors to harvest even better signals You will provide direction to external design teams and support them with your expertise You will be a vital member of our interdisciplinary product development team You will take the technology through its whole lifecycle from commissioning, calibration and evaluation of prototype detectors through to expert support after product launch. To find out more about the specific business, have a look at Computertomographie Your qualifications and experience: You have a PhD in physics, electronics or a related discipline or equivalent plus several years of professional experience You have acquired several years of experience with the architecture and design of ionizing radiation detector systems and ASICs at an industrial scale You have expert knowledge in detector physics and microelectronics (e.g. in photon-counting X-ray imaging) You have a successful track record of relevant publications and/or patent applications Experience in several of the following areas is desirable:o Medical device development o Simulation of physical and electronic systems o Requirement engineering o Workflows in digital and mixed-signal ASIC design o Design-for-test engineering, wafer test optimization, calibration design o Performance optimization and thermal design o Semiconductor packaging and assembly technologies o Analysis, verification and yield optimization o Characterization and fault analysis of complex sensor systems o Signal and image chain in computed tomography Your attributes and skills: You have a passion for innovation in healthcare You love finding great and sustainable solutions You work with a high degree of independence, persistence and resilience You have a good command of English and German and are fluent in at least one of these Our global team: Siemens Healthineers is a leading global medical technology company. 68,000 dedicated colleagues in over 70 countries are driven to shape the future of healthcare.
