SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Office of Dean of Business

The appointee will be responsible for planning and driving the School’s communication, branding, and alumni activities. The successful candidate is expected to be capable of formulating and supervising the School’s communication efforts, and spearheading marketing activities locally and internationally. A good understanding of digital marketing and social media will be important.

The candidate will also be tasked with uplifting the School’s brand position in the Hong Kong and global community, and leading projects that ultimately re-inforce the School’s value. In terms of alumni affairs, the candidate should possess good interpersonal skills to connect and plan activities for these important stakeholders of the School. The appointee will report to the Dean and head a small team to work towards the above objectives. The appointee should have a sound knowledge of international business education markets and have the ability to work at both strategic and hands-on levels.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or above with at least ten years of relevant work experience, some at supervisory level, and preferably in communications and marketing in the university context. Applicants should also have an outgoing personality and a genuine interest in people; be self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese, as well as administrative and I.T. skills are essential. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, normally of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.

Reference salary range: HK$40,700 - HK$65,000
