Job Description
Eaton's Aerospace Group has an opening for an FP&A Senior Manager at its Irvine, CA headquarters location. In this position you will manage the consolidation, reporting and analysis of monthly results, forecasts, and profit plans for the global Aerospace division. Analyze operational, commercial, strategic, and financial data/metrics in order to provide insightful analysis to drive management actions and initiatives. Operate as a key business partner to the Aerospace leadership team. Be responsible for forecasting and planning the Aerospace headquarters related expenses. Essential functions for the role include but are not limited to the following: Direct the month end, forecasting and planning processes to facilitate the timely and accurate consolidation and analysis of results. Lead the efforts to provide meaningful commentary to Aerospace, the Industrial Sector and Corporate leadership. Work closely with the divisional controllers and the worldwide finance business teams to develop valuable and insightful financial analysis for senior management in preparation for the corporate and internal review calls on a monthly and annual basis as they relate to profit plan. Supervise, coach and develop a staff of 2 (1 financial analyst and 1 commercial controller) with dotted line responsibilities for resources in Pune. Support the monthly forecast and operating reviews with the Aerospace leadership team, the Industrial Sector, and Group Controller. Develop presentation materials and necessary back up to support in discussions. Oversee the development of headquarters support budgets and provide analysis of actual spending to forecast, plan and historical levels. Maintain cost controls and support all internal control efforts. Lead the annual profit planning process, including all supporting schedules and analysis. Assist in the preparation and review of the strategic plan financials. Direct the efforts with sales & marketing to further develop and utilize the existing sales/order system to provide better analysis and reporting. Identify areas for financial process improvement and lead the improvement efforts. Develop and implement standardized reporting packages for all forecast and plan review calls. Assist the VP Finance, Group Controller, SLT and Sector/Corporate Finance teams with special projects and analyses as required. Direct all efforts to standardize, analyze, and report all developmental program spending. Provide support to both the Sr. VP of Program management and the VP of R&D as needed. Direct all consolidated business proposal efforts for supporting the growth of the Aftermarket. Direct the designing of an AM dashboard to provide data daily and analysis to understand how we are performing against our AM strategic and financial goals. Direct the Strategic Planning process for the Aerospace Group. Designing the process, setting goals, and measuring progress against these goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrixed global organizational structure. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports. Strong process leadership and project management skill set required. Broad general business knowledge and strategic thinking. Working knowledge of financial reporting systems, excel, ERP’s, and data warehouses. Business systems analysis experience would be beneficial. General knowledge of all functional areas of the Group, Sector and Corporate organizations. Leadership Competencies: Creates, promotes and sustains a high-performance culture.
