Job Description

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE
 
Senior Facilities Officer (Building Services) (Ref. 20091803-E5)
 
Duties 

The appointee will report to the Associate Director of Facilities Management/Addition & Alteration Works Unit and be required to:

plan and oversee the implementation of client-focused facilities management services;

carry out repair, maintenance, alterations and additions (A&A) and improvement works for buildings;

liaise with internal parties, end-users, consultants and contractors for the implementation of repair and maintenance, daily operation and improvement works including tender specification/drawing/analysis preparation, cost control, contract administration, site work supervision, testing and commissioning, facilities and projects handover, etc.;

co-ordinate with specialists and formulate design for all building service systems including power supply, lighting, MVAC, fire service, pumping, ELV, BMS, etc. in accordance with the building layout;

prepare contract drawing, specification, reports, inspection record, site instruction, defect lists and other documents as required;

perform duties outside normal office hours including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary; and

handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications 

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Building Services, Building Technology Management or a related discipline with at least five years of relevant experience OR a higher diploma in one of the above disciplines with at least eight years of relevant work experience;

(b) a Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker of Grade A or above; and

(c) a Certificate of Registered Energy Assessor or a Corporate Membership of IET, CIBSE, HKIE or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage.

Preference will be given to those applicants who have knowledge of and experience in the following areas:

(a) project management including design, testing and commissioning, combination of different building service systems, preparation of tender documents as well as contract administration for fitting out and A&A works projects; and

(b) application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and building sustainable technology.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
