Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems Division is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to join our team. This position will be based at our Morrisville, North Carolina office and cover a customer territory spanning across North Carolina, South Carolina and north Georgia. 50% of overnight travel will be required. This position offers Relocation! Position Overview: The Senior Field Service Representative is responsible for providing field service support and consultation such as acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high voltage systems. You will advise customers and provide best technical solutions to solve customer issues. You will complete assigned jobs with assistance from lead technicians and engineers. In addition, you will conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment and check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards.  In this function you will: Work on assigned projects for electrical equipment Deliver technical solutions to customers Perform less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations Display proficiency in the following: Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, Protection & Control Design Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or higher AND a minimum of 3 year of field service experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology) from an accredited institution. Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis is highly desirable. Experience with protective relays is highly desirable. Position Success Criteria: Strong computer skills Understanding of the company's and competitor's electrical, electronic and mechanical products and services. Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment. Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction. Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
