What you’ll do?
Here you will be part of a team of enterprising leaders, our role is to connect and advise: aligning commercial and scientific goals and spotting opportunities to shape what’s next for AstraZeneca.
You will work closely with business to provide planning and analytical support as well as financial advisory for decision making. You will be responsible for running key budgeting and forecasting cycles and lead preparation of management reporting and will be exposed to broad network of internal and external stakeholders
Some areas of focus for this role will include:
- Support business decisions and decision-makers with sound analysis, insight and judgement that leads to value creation and competitive advantage
- Add value by ensuring that chosen business options deliver the highest financial value at an acceptable level of risk ensuring accurate and timeous provision of financial information to various internal and external stakeholders for decision-making and reporting purposes
- In close collaboration with GFS FP&A team provide financial support for main planning and budgeting cycles (Phased Budget, RBU, MTP) engaging key stakeholders for cross-functional collaboration and contribution to the process, preparation of respective reports and presentations, timely submissions.
- Lead monthly closing process from embedded finance team side and ensures effective collaboration with middle and back office
- Drive support for ongoing improvements in finance performance metrics: identify opportunities, challenge existing approaches and develop defensible alternatives where appropriate
- Proactively identify issues and ensure good risk assessment for all finance key deliverables: business cases, P&L budgetary control, pricing, market access, business plans,
- Support the business in best way of utilizing financial and reporting systems, develops and maintain solutions to business and financial requirements
- Timeously review and analyze accounting records/systems, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards to ensure preparation for sign off and reporting by senior management
- In collaboration with MO and BO ensure monthly preparation of financial analysis and month-end reporting and commentary is available for senior management
- Hold responsibility for complete FP&A set within defined time-lines: organizes and co-ordinates data collection, processing into meaningful information, analysis & forecast to support decision making process.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?
- Finance qualification (ACCA, CFA, CMA, etc.)
- Business qualification is a plus
- Extensive work experience in Finance Function
- Proven financial business partnering experience
- Experience of working across a global organization
- In-depth understanding of international finance standards and principles
- Experience of working with senior Management
- Varied range of experiences in specialist Finance with specific expertise in related specialist area
- Project Management
