To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Senior Financial Accountant your primary role is to make a wide range of accounting, analysis and forecasting activities for the Hungarian ledgers in the Budapest BSC. The role provides financial leadership on statutory accounting/audits, corporation income tax and indirect tax accounting for the countries. You will support that all goals and targets associated with internal controls, internal auditing, external audit, statutory reporting and financial advice are met. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Corporate Policy and legal requirements; function as a change agent to improve systems and procedures. Your main responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with Eaton financial policies, USGAAP, local statutory regulations and internal controls • Coordination and support during internal and statutory audits (including Tax Audits) • Meet company reporting deadlines for monthly, quarterly and year-end closings - ensuring accuracy & timeliness of financial results • Manage & improve financial controls & processes while mitigating issues • Provide metrics/reports to demonstrate effective process controls, manage multiple projects and process improvements • Ensure ethical standards are maintained in a manner that accrues maximum benefit to Eaton across all divisions • Coordinate and act as a consultant, in the provision of advice and technical assistance to World Headquarters, European Shared Service Center and Treasury • To advise, guide and support the implementation to the Hungarian ledgers of uniformity of financial accounting systems; ensure that modifications in systems and procedures due to changes in legal, fiscal and corporate requirements are coordinated; maintain the integrity of legal entity and fiscal accounting while minimizing expense to effect such changes. • Taxes: support external and internal tax audits including Tax Inspections; preparation and filing of the tax information as required by local tax law Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: • Bachelor or master’s degree in finance or equivalent • 4-6 years of financial experience (accounting, controlling, FP&A) • Advanced technical skills and experience with Microsoft Office • Advanced knowledge of SAP is a must to fill the role • Knowledge of US GAAP is mandatory • Experience of best practice implementation/end to end process improvement in accounting & reporting • Strong professional presence • Experience in deploying strategic change and building organizational capability • Excellent working knowledge English is essential, Hungarian is preferred • Ability to operate independently without day-to-day supervision • Flexible personality, open to changes and can prioritize in a highly efficient manner What we offer to you: • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Permanent contract in a fast-growing global company • Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team • Flexible working solutions (home office, remote, flexible working hours, part time etc.) are implemented across different EMEA locations • We make ethics and culture matter – You will enjoy working in supportive and collaborative workplace where ethics and safety are in our DNA • We make your perspectives matter - Different points of view are what drive innovation and collaboration, and at Eaton, innovation begins with top-to-bottom diversity.
