Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Mississauga, ON facility. Position Overview: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing Accounting, Analysis and Reporting support to all Canadian Divisions relating to the Distribution Operations in Canada. The incumbent will be involved with Accounting closing, Budgets, Forecasts, Cost analysis and Variance analysis for multiple divisions and will be responsible for the financial control and reporting of the Canadian distribution operations. Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and performs variance / ratio / trend analysis to aid in profitability managing the CIEI busines. Report to Controller and provides services to divisions and corporate management on the monthly operating performance of the distribution centers and shared service departments against budgets and forecasts. Accountability for operations accounting including cost maintenance, annual cost rolls, reconciliation of inventory and other operations accounts, E&O calculations, Intercompany markup accounting, purchase price variance analysis and error detection/correction, clearing of shipped not billed, revenue recognition and vendor cut-off. Co-ordination and verification of annual physical counts and monitoring of ongoing cycle count. Ensure that ongoing analysis and review of operation accounting issues (inventory, cost centers, margins etc) are performed on a timely basis as required by local management, division or corporate offices. Ensure that all supplemental and government reporting inquiries are responded to in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing and analyzing of transactions related to Fixed Assets. Tracks and maintains capital assets. Administer SAP access for all Eaton Canada employees and assign appropriate SAP roles and work with users and managers to eliminate Segregation of Duties (SOD) issues. Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Eaton Financial policies, GAAP, local regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study Minimum three (3) years of progressive Financial Analysis / Accounting previous work experience Actively pursuing or in possession of professional designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA) Must be able to work in the Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Preferred qualifications: 3-years’ experience working in a mid to large sized matrixed organization, wherein the incumbent is exposed to standard cost variances across both Canadian and US currency is a strong asset SAP software experience will be an asset Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Advanced excel skill set Excellent communication skills Position Success Criteria: Administer SAP access for all Eaton Canada employees and assign appropriate SAP roles.
