PRIMARY FUNCTION: To administrate and manage daily functions related to financial reporting and accounting for the Tripp Lite Canadian Business. Specific functions include balance sheet reconciliation review, month end closing and tax assistance, forecasting, financial reporting, as well as assisting in ad hoc financial analysis reporting. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in month end closing process and ensure the accuracy by reviewing P&L and balance sheet for Tripp Lite Canada ledger. Report and present monthly financial performance to management on Tripp Lite performance Compile monthly balance sheet analysis and resolve outstanding issues as necessary. Assist with Tripp Lite’s integration into Eaton financial systems. Also, assisting in implementing Eaton accounting policies, procedures, and schedules Provide management financial analysis and direction on ad hoc projects. Ensure accuracy of monthly budget reports and assist in the monthly budget variance reviews. Strong sense of urgency, self-motivated; focused. Excellent organization, interpersonal, written communication and oral communication skills Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: University Education with a Business focus Knowledge of federal/provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Preferred knowledge of SAP and or Encore ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Ability to work with others in remote locations required – effective communication across distance. Ability to build relationships with key managers/stakeholders and provide timely, solid business advice are key success factors. Work environment is predominantly office however site visits and involvement are needed in order to gain a full understanding of the business. Minimal travel (travel is mostly for site office visits).
