Position Purpose & Summary
This position will be responsible for implementing processes which will ensure compliance with both US GAAP and Local GAAP, providing reliable financial & other reporting in compliance with local financial laws, regulations and corporate policies for China businesses.

This position will work closely with other functions, e.g. Tax, Treasury, CBS Finance, among others and make sure that financial statements reflect the accuracy & entirety of the business transactions. This role will be responsible for supporting the statutory audit and other financial statutory compliances for the respective BU.

This role will assist A&R enterprise Lead/Manager to deploy the financial control framework to ensure that controls are maintained across multiple financial delivery models, systems, and processes. This position plays an important role in ensuring the effectiveness of controls, and to ensure financial compliance.

This role will work with location team closely, lead the new financial system replacement and implementation, standardize SOP and provide business management reporting timely and accurately. This role will support the entity’s post acquisition integration process to integrate with Cargill’s financial policies and requirements. This role will work with business management team closely to support the business financial analysis and performance goal setup as per the direction of the senior management team whiles in compliance of the accounting policies.

Principal Accountabilities
1.80% Financial Operations
  • Applies an extensive understanding of principles and techniques, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations and standards.
  • Leads the team to complete financial accounting activities which include Financial & other Reporting, P&L, SG&A expenses, allocations, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, financial close, balance sheet preparation, etc.
  • Be a key customer for CBS Finance, and work in close partnership with Tax, Treasury, Corporate A&F, Management Information & Decision Support (MIDS), Financial Risk Management (FRM), internal and external auditors. Assist with details to handle tax assessments, litigations and transfer pricing audits.
  • Work closely with CBS Finance to execute financial accounting processes at appropriate place which allows Cargill leveraging its size and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of finance organization.
  • Holds self and team accountable for delivering results, and driving the continuous improvement of finance activities; collaborating across business, functions, and enterprises.
  • Aligns with internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations; reliable financial reporting; and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies.
  • This role will be responsible for following the compliances with all financial regulatory both locally and required for US GAAP.
  • Follow controls and compliance measures for all reported financial information.
  • Work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
1.Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or equivalent Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with controls/ compliance experience
  • Good accounting experience with very good technical knowledge in US and Local GAAP.
  • Strong understanding of CFR reporting and compliances.
  • People management skills which motivates for high performance
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to understand and use technology to improve process and control

2.Preferred Required Qualifications
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Understanding and experience working with Kingdee /JDE/SAP (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to create a team culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and intellectual curiosity
  • Good English speaking and written skills
