The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the analysis and reporting function within BMW Group Financial Services. In this role, you will be preparing management reports, conducting analysis on the actual performance versus budget/forecast and providing proposals for improvement, and evaluating Business lines and products’ margin/profitability results and driving their development towards the target. You will be validating new product/sales program business case proposals and back testing, supporting audit requests (internal and external audits), assisting with the maintenance of Finance related systems, and working closely with business lines to steer their targets achievement.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual management reports with analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast/target for Senior Management/Business Lines and Headquarters with highlighted conclusions addressing the big deviations and providing proposals to steer the business towards the target achievement.
  • Work closely with multi-functions to have in-depth understanding of the business performance of all business lines and identify the potential risk and opportunities to improve the GPII performance.
  • Responsible for the development of analysis relating to financial performance modelling and profitability steering.
  • Responsible for the new product/sales program cost benefit business case evaluation.
  • Responsible for the pricing tool updates for Retail (PCII) and Commercial Finance (GPI & ROE) for financial impact simulation per business proposal.
  • Responsible for validating programs’ monthly actual performance and back testing their effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the monthly analysis reporting and communication with Headquarter controlling colleagues on financial results, further information exchange and support on ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Responsible for the reports automation and transition to Tableau reports in own area.
  • Review and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Provide guidance relating to chart of account issues and interpretation of accounting & reporting standards with respect to accounting transactions.
  • Provide guidance relating to IFRS and Headquarter Reporting/Controlling guidelines.
  • Ensure sound understanding of forecast and budget submission figures.
  • Ensure corporate guidelines/policies are followed.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Finance Designation (CPA, CMA, CFA), MBA or near completion is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant, professional finance experience (financial analyst experience is preferred).
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and proven analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, etc.). 
  • Self-motivated, results-driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high demand team environment.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
