Eaton’s Aerospace Group, Fuel Motion Control (FMC) is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our team. This position is based at our Irvine, CA facility. Position Overview: A key member of the Aerospace Group finance team. The position reports to the Sr. Mgr. of FP&A. This role is instrumental to prepare and analyze financial data related to Profit Plan, Strategic Plan, Forecasts and Actual results. This role is tightly linked with Corporate Reporting and Analysis and the Industrial Sector, with interaction on a consistent basis. The Senior Analyst provides financial analytical support to the entire SLT for the Aerospace Group, as well as other functions within the Group; ensuring compliance with established Industrial Sector and Corporate requirements; responsible for conformance to Corporate Policies, legal requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GAAP. This position also supports the VP of Aftermarket, VP of Finance, Division VP, and GMs from an analytical perspective. In this role, you will: Prepare, analyze, interpret, and comment on the Aerospace Group financial results and forecasts on a monthly basis. These comments are distributed to Corporate and Industrial Sector Senior Management and Aerospace Group Senior Management. Utilizing analytical tools, such as charts, graphs, and commentary which highlight trends and deviations for Corporate and Industrial Sector Senior Management, Aerospace Group VP of Finance & Planning, and the Aerospace Group Manager, Finance and Planning with focus on sales, orders and mix explanations. Assist Corporate Staff, Functional Staff, General Accounting, Encore, Tax, Treasury, and Internal and External Audit in matters of providing interpretation of Group financial data. Assist and coordinate within the Group, working with the Group Divisions, on the transparency, accuracy, and timely completion of key financial deliverables such as monthly actual results, monthly rolling forecasts, Profit Plan, Strategic Plan, quarterly reporting requirements, etc. Manage integration ledgers as needed if acquisitions occur. Perform liaison functions between Industrial Sector, WHQ, Group and Group Divisions for financial analysis and reporting. Prepare various adhoc analytical studies at the request of the Manager and/ or Group Senior Leadership Team. Work with Group Divisions to coordinate and improve the transparency, quality, and timeliness of financial data provided to the Industrial Sector and WHQ. Develop and deploy process improvements to streamline efforts and improve accuracy. Prepare, maintain, and distribute financial analysis and reports for monthly Actuals, Forecast, Strategic Plan, Profit Plan, and Operating Reviews. Support the research of analyzing Group results and highlighting key business drivers to Group Management. Work with manager to develop standard reporting and packages to be used by entire organization as they relate to ops reviews, 8WD reviews, and commentary reporting. Drive standardization and training on financial reporting and variance explanations for a seamless consolidation process. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the finance function This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within a 50-mile radius of the Irvine, CA facility will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of financial and managerial accounting Sound understanding of internal controls Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial analysis and reports Identify areas for in-depth analysis and provide feedback to operations on results Knowledge of Corporate Policies and Procedures Sound knowledge of Corporate financial instruments, Encore, Khalix, and Oracle Broad general business knowledge to adequately interpret operating results and analysis Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively with limited supervision Ability to compile information and work though tight timeliness Ability to work in a multi-task project environment Manufacturing experience MBA/CPA/CMA The expected annual salary range for this role is $100,280 - $137,885.
