Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst - Global Commercial Operations. This team member is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis services to Abbott Core Diagnostics Global Commercial HQ finance management.  The Sr Financial Analyst will be expected to complete a wide range of financial services and deliverables which assist management in timely and accurate preparation of quarterly LBEs/confirmations, monthly actual reporting and other ad-hoc analysis.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Financial consolidation and analysis of Regional quarterly rolling LBE/confirmation submissions including providing succinct and relevant commentary on a timely basis to multiple levels of regional & Division management.
• Analyze and consolidate monthly financial results producing monthly package for GCO leadership team that highlights key issues / variances.
• Active engagement with commercial regions to learn how they operate and understand their key issues.
• Provide analytical/consolidation support related to Exchange.
• Prepare ad-hoc analysis and backup schedules to assist finance and commercial management in decision-making process.
• Assist management with special projects and analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance.
• 3-5 years of finance experience to include roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance.
• Demonstrated ability to provide data and analysis to support decision making, methodical approach to problem solving and rational ideas supporting them, ability to keep learning and to teach others, traditional accounting knowledge and facilitator of management needs, streamlining functions within the department and an efficient work ethic.

Preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to communicate technical accounting concepts clearly and concisely with non-finance partners.
• Prior experience with SAP and TM1 or similar financial planning systems.
