PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position will assist the MFGSC Controller and MFGSC Accounting Manager in preparing and analyzing financial data related to Profit Plan, Strategic Plan, Forecasts, and Actual results that support the business objectives. A critical element of this position is financial responsibility for the Distribution Centers (including Value Added Services) and Vista Inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Own all financial aspects of the Fontana Distribution Center and support other Distribution Operations when required. Provide leadership in process improvements on accounting, reporting, and analysis methods. Interpret financial information for all levels of the organization and lead Fontana DC through use of financial accounting and budgeting systems. Establish and maintain internal controls to comply with corporate financial policies. Maintain the GL and prepare reconciliations, journal entries and adjustments as necessary. Develop management reports on actual and projected performance. Responsible for Vista warehouse inventory control and reconciliations. Complete understanding of Vista/WMS transactions and ability to solve problems. Lead Fontana distribution center annual physical inventory and analysis of cycle counting results. Coordinate financial transactions for Direct Source purchases for Americas Operations Support SCM function and initiatives as necessary and work with other managers in matters of special analyses and projects. Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Basic Qualifications: 3-5 Years of professional work experience in progressive roles in finance or accounting BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting or related field from an accredited institution Experience in Sox financial controls (focus on inventory controls), financial planning, and forecast Understanding of GAAP Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Ability to work independently and with a team; to communicate articulately, confidently, and professionally across many levels organization levels and functions Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results Attentive to detail, personally committed to work quality and able to learn from mistakes Ethical, operates with high regard to integrity and trust Proficient in MS office – strong focus on Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: MBA CPA Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications Experience with internal and external Audits System skills/experience desired: Oracle financials (G/L, AP, Fixed Assets), Khalix/ENCORE, HFM, Vista/MAPICS/AS400 Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
