Eaton’s Corporate Division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Relocation assistance is being offered to Beachwood, OH. Position Overview: Eaton’s Senior Finance Analyst will serve as a business partner between finance and Global Corporate functions within Eaton. This position will be responsible for partnering with all levels of the organization from individual activity centers to Senior Executives in order to provide finance support. The position will manage and coordinate profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecast, allocations as well as special projects.. In this function you will: Provide insightful analysis to assist department managers with critical financial decision making. Lend accounting expertise, provide interpretation of accounting policies and ensure consistent application of forecasting policies and procedures. Drive financial results and identify key drivers of variances in the forecast to senior management. This includes identifying, researching, and providing comments on variances to the previous forecast and to full-year profit plan for corporate functions that are included in the reporting package to senior management. Manage the profit planning process including the preparation of annual profit plan to be presented to the Chairman and Chief Executive Office, coordinating allocations and guidelines to operations. Support ad hoc finance projects and develop fact based recommendations to assist senior leadership in making informed business decisions. Manage the day to day activities; includes working with global corporate functions to understand budgets and ensure consistent application of forecasting policies and procedures. Manage global supply chain functional budgets and project tracking. Develop tools and reports to help analyze actuals, forecast and profit plan. Identify potential areas of risk and opportunities to senior management to drive business results and achieve financial goals. Drive standardized processes, including development and implementation of process improvements across global corporate functions. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business from an accredited institution 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Financial consolidation systems Experience with Oracle & SAP experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Position Criteria: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to observe, evaluate, summarize, and communicate highly complex issues and make decisions based on those observations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to interact effectively and influence employees at all levels within the organization.
