Job Description
The team consists of engineers and technicians professionals and their managerial structure, located either in Espoo or in other engineering centers around the world as the CPS Product Line is managed as a global business and engaging Digital, Services and Energy Transition elements managed by ETD business. The business scope covers 3P UPS products requested for CPS-EMEA business applications; CPS portfolio gather subsets of product aiming at making them integrated Solutions. In the role you will act as Senior FW Engineer. Develops embedded FW for power conversion products.. Job Responsibilities: - Develop, debug and enhance existing and new real-time C/C++ code on RTOS based environments for UPS (Uninterruptible Power supply) products. - Work in a power converter lab as needed to support development and debug activities through the entire product lifecycle. - Create and execute module level tests to expose weakness or faults in firmware. - Translate product requirements into software implementation and integrate them into firmware and validation frameworks. Qualifications Qualifications: - MSc or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical engineering experience. - Familiarity with operation and modeling of AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion topologies for linear and switch mode operation. - Can read hardware schematics and work with the hardware team to deliver production worthy hardware/software co-designed architecture. - Experience with typical microcontroller peripherals such as ADC, DAC, PWM, Timers etc. and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, UART etc. - Experience with unit testing, test driven development, or hardware in the loop methodologies is desirable. Education level required: Master or bachelor’s degree in engineering. Years and area of experience required: > 5 years. Technical knowledge: FW development, Test Driven Development.
